www.mathchimp.com has over 100 math games for elementary students.  On the left, select your grade level and then choose which objective you would like to work on.  I have also written about www.aaamath.com.  There are numerous websites like these two that I will continue to tell you about. 

Since the end of this reporting period is Friday, I will be giving assessments throughout the week.  Please make sure your child is rested and at school on time.  Also, reading logs are due tomorrow :)  I hope you all had a great weekend!

www.Childrensbooksforever.com is yet another website that you can download classic children's books for free.  A website that I have talked about before, www.booksshouldbefree.com is another great website to download audio books for free.  You can never have enough books!!!!!

New spelling words are going home today.  Look for them on yellow paper.  Also, the end of the reporting period is next Friday.  24 AM and AR points will be due by then.  I sent home conference notices yesterday.  Please check what times are good for you and return the paper back to school so I can schedule you in. A fun website that I have showed the students is www.aaamath.com. This website has interactive lessons and games for math, spelling, vocabulary, geography, and much more.  When you are taken to the website, you can choose a grade level at the top, a subject in the upper right hand corner, and a topic on that subject on the left hand side.  The interactive lessons are further down the page (you will need to scroll down).  Log on and give it a try.  It is completely free and very user friendly :)

New spelling words went home today.  Please spend some time on these words every evening.  We still have homework Monday-Thursday.  This includes Saxon worksheet and fact sheet, and reading for at least 20 minutes.  Do not forgot to fill out and turn in your reading log!
