Gotta love the boots! 

Please make sure you are dressed for the weather tomorrow!  Maddie is coming to our class for a Forest Service presentation and we will be going outside.  Also, tomorrow is our last day for art for a few more months.  I hope everyone has a great weekend! 

Please take a look at the spelling test scores that went home today.  I also passed out the new spelling words for this week.  Please study them every evening!  Don't forget, 14 AM and AR points are due by Friday.  This was a short week so check out the TOPS reports that go home to see where your child is.  We have art again tomorrow (1:40)! 

Tomorrow is Wednesday, which means spelling test time!  As I have said before, Spelling City is a great website to practice your spelling words.  This is also our week for art class (1:40).  On Friday, we are fortunate to have Maddie from the Forest Service come in and do an activity with our class (9:00).  All of this is posted on our class calendar.  I have also posted our schedule as well.  Feel free to download it, save it, print it, etc. so you know what we are doing in class.  Feel free to stop by any time!!!

No school tomorrow!!!  14 AM and AR points due this Friday, October 14, 2011.  Since this is a short week, be sure to read a little extra at home and start taking AR tests when you get to school Tuesday to keep from getting behind.  Also, this is our week for art, so don't miss out!  Check our calendar on this website to view more upcoming events.  It was great to see everyone at the Book Fair this weekend!  Hope you all had as much fun as I did!

We had another spelling test today which means a new spelling list went home.  Please study the spelling words for 5-10 minutes each evening.  A fun and easy way to study your spelling words on the internet is to use a website called www.spellingcity.com.  This website allows you to type in your spelling words and it customizes many different activities to study those words.  This is just one way to use the website, it has much more to offer.  Click the link and explore!

There are many reasons I ask students to fill out the reading log for the books they read home.  One of these reasons is it helps me know what books they can take AR tests on. I take the reading log and check what book is an AR book.  Most of the time they are AR books and this really helps the students keep up on their AR points.  By mid-week they have most of their points!  If you would like to check AR books on your own, click on the link below.  I also have the link under "Important Website."
