I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the snow before the rain came!  This week 18 AM and AR points are due by Friday.  As usual, reading logs are due tomorrow and we have our spelling tests on Wednesday.  Also, don't forget to turn in your activity log February 1.  We have won two months now, let's keep up the good work!  Have a great week!!!
 
A haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. They consist of three lines.  The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5 syllables.  The kids have all made and typed their own Haikus!

We have spelling tests tomorrow!!  New words will go home on yellow paper.  Also, the kids are very excited about a new educational game that they can play on the computer.  Reading Eggspress builds reading and comprehension skills in a fun way! The kids are really enjoying this program.  They are more than welcome to play at home!  If they cannot remember their password, or you would like it, please let me know and I can get that for you.

MOOM (Museum of online Museums) has a list of museums that have online exhibits.  Some are photographs and others are a virtual tour.  There are a lot of excellent museums on this list!  Check it out!
